The 2014 edition of “Ranking Best Business Schools in Latin America and the World” magazine América Economía, has had a more robust methodology as in the previous edition, asking for a lot of data to business schools. The result has been the development of the list of the 41 best business schools in the world in the delivery of MBA programs.
The variables considered by magazine greater weight for the final score has been the academic quality and selection in students.
In this edition, the Spanish IESE leads the ranking followed by US Harvard Business School and the Haas School of Business.
Meanwhile, ESIC has been ranked as the 8th best school ROI regarding salaries of graduates and school ranking 3rd best positioned about the power network for Latin Americans.
The ranking also shows that more than a third of schools (16 of 41) achieved at least double the salary of their MBAs students after 3 years from the completion of the program. In this regard include Shanghai University and ESIC.
The results demonstrate the growing importance of Latin America in the global business education and also growing interest from schools outside the region to train Latin American business leaders.
